Zurich, Switzerland, 14 October 2025 - With one month remaining before the 2025 Annual Meeting of the World Leagues Association (WLA), final preparations are underway for what will be the largest gathering in the WLA’s history.
Hosted by Super League Greece in Athens, the meeting will bring together representatives from around forty professional leagues across all continents, underscoring the WLA’s role as a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and strategic alignment between national competitions worldwide.
The three-day programme, from 12 to 14 November, will combine formal sessions and informal exchanges, including a series of continental meetings, a League Development Workshop, and a session on recent developments in the Laws of the Game.
Friday will feature the formal Annual Meeting of the WLA, providing an opportunity to welcome new members and address key topics such as competition and regulatory matters. This plenary session will reaffirm the Association’s commitment to strengthening national leagues as the foundations of football and enhancing their collective influence within the global football ecosystem.
The Athens 2025 Annual Meeting is set to celebrate the unity of professional leagues and shape the direction for cooperation and action.
