The WLF commissioned Twenty First Group to analyse the sporting impact of FIFA’s potential new competition. The report concludes that "Reforms to the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and international release periods focus exclusively on a small segment of elite players who are already being pushed to the limits of performance". It also concludes that "A biennial World Cup squeezes the football calendar and dilutes the value of all football, including domestic leagues”. The report is available below.
