The World Leagues Forum, which represents professional leagues from all around the world, considers that, under the current circumstances, it is no longer possible for national teams or clubs to play on Russian soil or against Russian teams.
We understand this position is detrimental to Russian football, to its league, its clubs, its players, its fans and all of our Russian football friends who are not responsible for the current situation. But the actions of the Russian regime have made the suspension of the Russian national team and of Russian clubs in all international competitions a necessary step to take.
