League executives from around the globe will gather in Athens next week as the WLA prepare for the largest Annual Meeting to date.
The World Leagues Association (WLA) prepares its 2025 Annual Meeting next week in Athens, hosted by Super League Greece. This edition marks a significant milestone as the largest gathering in the Association’s history, uniting representatives from approximately forty professional leagues across all continents.
Taking place from 12 to 14 November, the three-day programme will feature continental meetings, a League Development Workshop, and a dedicated session on recent developments in the Laws of the Game. The meeting will provide an important platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic cooperation among national leagues.
The agenda will conclude with the formal Annual Meeting on Friday, during which members will welcome new leagues, address competition and regulatory matters, and discuss future priorities.
Reaffirming the WLA’s mission to strengthen national leagues as the foundation of professional football, the Athens 2025 Annual Meeting aims to foster unity and advance collective action within the global football ecosystem.
