World Leagues Association General Secretary Jerôme Perlemuter visited Arena Liga Portugal yesterday for a curtesy meeting with Reinaldo Teixeira, President of Liga Portugal, Paulo de Mariz Rozeira, Executive Director, and the league’s executive team.
As the organisation uniting 48 national professional leagues, the WLA views these direct exchanges as essential to understanding the realities, ambitions and innovations driving our members.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the strategy of Liga Portugal’s new leadership and, in particular, the initiatives being introduced to strengthen the competition, support clubs and enhance governance structures.
Maintaining close dialogue with our members is central to advancing the WLA’s mission: fostering strong, independent and well-structured leagues as the foundations of the global game.
We look forward to continued cooperation with Liga Portugal, to supporting its development and contribution to the international football ecosystem.
